ISUZU TECHNICAL SKILLS COMPETITION I-1 GRAND PRIX 2025
In October, Japan hosted the I-1 Grand Prix, ISUZU’s global Service Technician competition, with representatives from 37 countries around the world.
This year, ISUZU MOTORS Latin America and the Caribbean (ILAC) was proudly represented by teams from Costa Rica, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic, who showcased their talent in this prestigious event.
The I-1 Grand Prix is more than just a competition it is a stage that brings together ISUZU’s most skilled service professionals worldwide. Its objectives include strengthening the brand’s global identity by demonstrating that ISUZU not only manufactures and markets commercial vehicles but also ensures world-class after-sales service; promoting continuous training of technical teams to guarantee reliable support across the globe; and communicating the corporate vision of ISUZU as a brand committed to the highest standards of technical and service excellence.
Participants underwent rigorous tests designed to evaluate technical skills, with the goal of raising service and customer care standards in diagnostic and repair processes. The winners of this edition were: 1st Place Thailand, 2nd Place Japan and 3rd Place Australia.
The results of each participant’s performance are shared with ISUZU’s authorized dealer and all other competitors. This feedback becomes a valuable tool for implementing improvement initiatives based on the performance observed during the event.
